Frequently asked questions

What are Ombre brows?

Ombre brows are a cosmetic shaded tattoo technique that creates the illusion of darker brow tails moving into lighter brow centers. This technique uses a digital handheld machine that creates micro dots throughout the brows, resulting in a powdered, makeup finished look. This technique is ideal for anyone who wants a bold, fuller look to replace makeup.

Am I the right candidate for Ombre Brows?

We do not recommend the ombre brow technique for anyone who is prone to keloids or post-inflammatory hypopigmentation. Due to transmissions, we do not work on clients with transmittable blood diseases such as HIV or hepatitis. If you use Juvéderm, Botox or fillers of any kind by your brows we recommend you avoid these procedures at least 2 weeks before, or 2 weeks after your brow appointment.

If you are undergoing Chemotherapy, we require a doctor’s note and recommend receiving the treatment prior to the chemotherapy.

We also do not recommend this ombre treatment for anyone with skin conditions such as eczema, shingles or rashes. We also recommend waiting at least 8 weeks after laser tattoo removal in the eyebrow area to have this treatment.

Pregnant or breastfeeding clients are NOT eligible for this treatment.

Can I get Ombre brows if I am on medication?

We do not recommend permanent makeup if you are on any of the following medications:

  • Triflusal (Disgren)

  • Clopidogrel (Plavix)

  • Prasugrel (Effient)

  • Ticagrelor (Brilinta)

What should I expect during my appointment?

During the initial appointment we carry out a full consultation to understand your expectations and needs. We require a health form in order for us to better understand your skin condition. This consultation is based around your desired shape and color, so if you would like to bring in reference photos, we are happy to work based off of your ideal look.

Eyebrow shaping and client approval:

The foundation for achieving your perfect eyebrows is finding the perfect shape. We use a waterproof pencil to measure and customize your brows in order to compliment your facial features. We will not begin any treatment until you approve the shape of the brows.

We use topical anesthetic products to numb the area that we are treating. These products take around 25 minutes to full absorb into the skin. The topical anesthetic allows for little to no pain during treatment.

Nano/Ombre brows:

During nano brow treatment, your artist creates micro strokes using our handheld tool that embed pigment into your skin.

During the ombre brow treatment, your artist uses a digital handheld machine that embeds pigment into your skin.

These processes take 3 - 3.5 hours the procedure and time depends on the clients skin type.

Before you leave:

After your treatment is complete, we remove any extra pigment, complete our after photographs and apply a barrier cream to protect your new brows.

After this initial appointment, you should schedule a touch-up appoint for 4-8 weeks later.
